Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla Rock Cave Temple is the largest and best preserved complex of Buddhist cave temples in Sri Lanka The History of this temple dates back to 1st century BC during the reign of King Valagamba. There are five Caves which contain almost 150images of the Buddha.
In the 16th century as soon as Portuguese discovered Ceylon began trading in cinnamon and other spices. British followed bringing with them their own history and influences. Also the spices are use in Ayurveda in Sri Lanka.
