Dambulla Rock Cave Temple
This is the largest and best preserved complex of Buddhist cave temples in Sri Lanka. The History of Dambulla Rock Cave Temple dates back to 1st century BC during the region of King Valagambha. There are five Caves which contain almost 150 images of the Buddha.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress is the most visited UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka. Build by King Kashyapa in the 5th Century, the citadel that surrounds the main rock and its place contains all the attractions in Sigiriya. Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by king Vijayabhau. He defeated Chola invaders and reunited the country in 1070. The ancient city of polonnaruwa has been declared a world heritage site.
Minneriya National Park area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The main water resource for national Park is Minneriya tank. This tank was built by King Mahasen.

This is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. Temple of tooth relic is located in the royal places complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, Which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lankan Kings.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975. Meet the rescued, abandoned elephants of all ages. you can see they play and bathe in the river, and watch the youngest being bottle fed.
