This is the largest and best preserved complex of Buddhist cave temples in Sri Lanka. The History of Dambulla Rock Cave Temple dates back to 1st century BC during the region of King Valagambha. There are five Caves which contain almost 150 images of the Buddha.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Sigiriya Rock Fortress is the most visited UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka. Build by King Kashyapa in the 5th Century, the citadel that surrounds the main rock and its place contains all the attractions in Sigiriya. Polonnaruwa Staying : Sigiriya

Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by king Vijayabhau. He defeated Chola invaders and reunited the country in 1070. The ancient city of polonnaruwa has been declared a world heritage site.

Minneriya National Park area was designated as a national park on 12 August 1997, having been originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary in 1938. The main water resource for national Park is Minneriya tank. This tank was built by King Mahasen.

Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lankan Kings.

Royal Botanical Garden

It attract 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River.Peradeniya Botanical Garden includes more than 4000 spices, medical plants and plan trees. The total area of the garden is 147 acres.

Pinnawala Elephant Ophanage

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975. Meet the rescued, abandoned elephants of all ages. you can see they play and bathe in the river, and watch the youngest being bottle fed.
